  1. Onions Rings are amazing! Fresh onions and there own beer batter, friendly staff. My husband and I shared them and f@c, plenty of food. Brought home the teen boys burgers, and they are happy! Checked the free game room out and had fun. This was one of the best places I’ve been in a long time. :)

  2. so I drive by this place everyday and I’m like I gotta try there burgers one day. well ladies and gentelman that day was today. I walk into this place and I was just flabbergasted by the sheer size of the horse stareing me down. I felt comforable immediatly then I orderd a mushroom swiss hud burger or whatever. man a lil spendy but tottally worth it. then the woman behind the counter tells me that there’s free ski ball in the back. I almost shit myself right then and there. so after 10minutes or so of ski ball my food arrived and I inhaled that beast burger like I had never eaten before. and the tots!!! omg incredable. everything was perfect about this burger. it qas as if god himself came down to cook for me. the cheese evenly melted over the onions and mushrooms. the tots crispy but not burnt. my only complaint is that they were fresh out of seasoning salt. oh. some seasoning salt on them fries would just be the cats meow if you know what I mean. and did I mention free ski ball

  3. Living in Sequim and over to PA occasionally, we discovered Colonel Hudson’s (never seen it advertised) by accident, liked the exterior, liked the interior, was a bit concerned about the prices til we received our meal….WOW!! We both had the 3 piece cod and fries with the carolina slaw. The fish was cooked to perfection, crispy beer batter was excellent, the house made tartar yummy, the hand cut fresh french fries were great (would be crisper if twice fried.. :D) and the carolina slaw was outstanding. We could not finish the meal, certainly did not leave hungry!! We will be back and try the burger next time!!

  4. Too long of a wait for food. All we ordered were 2 burgers and fries, had to wait over 40 minutes!! Place wasn’t even that busy, only two other small tables ahead of us…. two other tables already eating. Food was very good, portion sizes ok, probably would have been more satisfying if we weren’t so hungry from waiting so long. Will not be going back.

  5. Love the Spicy Poutine! My favorite all time dish. Only thing I have bad to say is you should mention when the season is for sweet potato fries. Other than that my favorite place to eat!

  6. This was a recommendation from the front desk at the hotel and we were very glad they did. This was the best hamburger that I have ever had. The burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The bun held everything together and was just the right texture. My twelve year old son put it perfectly when he said “It is a bit messy and the juice ran down my hand, but it was definitely worth it!” Te service was great and the decor was quirky and fun. If you are in Port Angeles, you have to eat here. We left full and wanting to come back to try the other things on the menu.

  7. I’ve been stationed here for 2 years now and recently discovered this amazing establishment. Great food and really cool atmosphere. I would come back everyday of the week if I could.

  8. Truly an adventure in dining. We drove from Denver and found this place after, 1. Missing the ferry to Victoria and 2. Reading praises on TripAdvisor. Driving by, it’s easy to miss this tiny place, once inside it’s a place you’ll wish was near YOUR house. First: Impeccable interior and fast, friendly service. Second: The menu items surpass expectations. Get in here.

  9. TO COSTLY Very SMALL portions…The other reviews must be relatives….Food was fresh..left hungry…$11.00 for a small portion can’t aford to return…This are my views.

    • I disagree with, but respect your feelings on the portion size. It is not often we get such a complaint. Most people feel they cannot finish the burgers and fries. In terms of fish, we are using Alaskan Cod, not a cheaper white fish. Again, most people feel it is more than enough. In terms of the “other reviews must be relatives”, I can only say you are mistaken as we have a lot of loyal customers (that’s how we stay in business my friend!) These are my views. Malik

    • Wow!! I have eaten here many times and never left hungry. I guess we all have our own standards for these sorts of things. Other than the great food they create and serve with such friendliness I don’t know these people at all, but I suppose the argument can be made we all go back to Adam and Eve. ;) I hope you find portions more to your liking elsewhere, but I don’t believe your experience is the norm for this restaurant.

  10. March 25, 2013

I had to try this place. And I loved the food. Homemade fries and shakes. There food is amazing. I recomment this place to everyone.

  11. Our new favorite place for burgers and fish and chips! Great atmosphere! Great place for the whole family! Wonderful food! Friendly staff! Very clean! Fun place to take visitors when they come to town! Bet they don’t have anything like this at home! We’ll be back, again and again!

  12. The minuses: too costly for small portions. A la carte menu means paying extra for veggies. Plate looked pretty bare!
The plus: sweetpotato fries were terrific.

    • If you got one of our beef burgers, they are a 1/3 lb custom-ground chuck sirloin mix. Because we believe in serving exceptional food, we are buying more expensive, high-quality products to create something we can be proud to serve to our customers. All of our buns are made from scratch, our fries are cut in-house, our sauces are made with love and all taste-tested…we really do care! Hopefully our customers can taste the difference and spend a couple of extra dollars for a better quality burger! As far as the plate looking bare, we’ll do our best to work on that! We’re happy you liked the sweet potato fries…we buy the sweet potatoes locally from Sunny Farms. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  13. This page would be easier to read if it was black on white – we’d like to print it out for our office file as well. Can’t wait to try your place!

  14. I ordered a burger and fish and chips to go yesterday and it was AMAZING!!! The FREE ski ball made the time fly while I waited for my order. When I got home and we finally sat down to eat the food was all we’d hoped for and more! Thank you so much for a great meal. We can’t wait to have an eat-in adventure and sample more from your enticing menu.

  15. So glad to see you guys are doing well and expanding! We visited you guys in 2010… Remember the Carolinians that tried your Carolina Slaw? That was us. Anyway, we look forward to eating with you guys again if we can ever make it back to Wa. We had MANY favorite things about our trip and Col. Hudson’s was one of them. See you sometime in the next few years.

    • Sorry it took so long to reply, we have had our hands full with trying to reopen. It’s taking a lot longer than we expected. It’s so nice to hear from you…we definitely remember you! We’ll be posting some pictures of our new seating area soon if you would like to check it out sometime. Would love to see you again if you make it back out this way!
